Fahrenheit 451 quotes !

"Stuff your eyes with wonder, he said, live as if you'd drop dead in ten seconds. See the world. It's more fantastic than any dream made or paid for in factories."

"Why is it," he said, one time, at the subway entrance, "I feel I've known you so many years?"
"Because I like you," she said, "and I don't want anything from you."

"Need not to be let alone. We need to be really bothered once in a while. How long is it since you were really bothered? About something important, about something real?"

"There must be something in books, something we can’t imagine, to make a woman stay in a burning house; there must be something there. You don’t stay for nothing."

".      "I'm seventeen and I'm crazy. My uncle says the two always go together. When people ask your age, he said, always say seventeen and insane."

What are we talking about

When your on righetti campus and your walking around and you over hear the students talking about rumors , bad language and what ever they got to say that day and such on. Us students have conversations about what they need to get out or to even pick up or start a conversation with other people. Some of the students will never ever have those conversations at the dinner table with their mom or dad or siblings just because it's bad and it's not acceptable to their manners at home. Us teenagers have those kind of conversations at school just to get it off their chests because they don't want to say it at home. Otherwise if we really wanted to have those conversations we would, but teenage conversations are about 99.9% inappropriate from what I heard at school then having those conversations at the dinner table or at home. So yes it's very very different from school conversations then being in your family's circle at home.

Fahrenheit 451 :

~ THINGS I LEARNED ~

1.) Bradbury stated that he wrote Fahrenheit 451 because of his concerns at the time , about the threat of book burning in the United States.
2.) He stated his motivation for writing the book in more general terms.
3.) Bradbury described himself as "a preventor of futures, not a predictor of them."
4.) Bradbury tended to dismiss censorship as a chief motivating factor for writing the story.
